Q&A with Jody Dahms, University of California, Irvine

  1. What is your current role at your institution/company? I am the Director of Corporate Engagement for the University of California, Davis, where I focus on supporting corporate relationships for the Health Campus (School of Medicine, School of Nursing).
  2. How long have you been a NACRO member? I have been a member of NACRO for just over a year. I’m a member of the Benchmarking Committee and co-lead the Member Survey Subcommittee.  
  3. What do you enjoy most about your NACRO membership? As someone who is new to corporate relations in a university setting, I have truly enjoyed meeting and learning from other NACRO members over the past year. It’s great to have corporate engagement colleagues across the country to share wins and challenges with.
  4. So far, what has been your greatest Corporate Relations success? My greatest Corporate Relations success at UC Davis has been in securing support for Covid-19 research and other critical programs across the health campus. What has been your greatest challenge? I onboarded during Covid, so my greatest challenge has been trying to learn the landscape of both campuses and meet faculty in a virtual environment.
  5. What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know? I LOVE to travel. Next trip is Paris for Christmas/NYE.
