At many universities there are tensions between the type of money that faculty want to receive the most for their research (unrestricted gifts) and what companies and universities want to give (typically corporate sponsored research). There is another broad bucket of funding mechanism called "other" or "consortium" or "corporate affiliate programs".

Join us as we discuss the corporate affiliate programs model from Stanford University, University of California San Diego, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
