Lee Wilson is the worldwide Program Manager for the IBM Academic Initiative working to help students and faculty improve their technical skills through access to no-charge IBM resources for teaching, learning and non-commercial research purposes. Prior to leading the IBM Academic Initiative, Lee worked for Corporate Technology advising and managing IBM internal projects on diverse technical topics such as cloud, hardware and services. Lee has dedicated his career to working at a worldwide level spending over a decade supporting IBM z (mainframe) in North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. Always looking to enhance the skills of others, Lee often engages with clients, colleagues and new hires to teach and collaborate on technical subjects and has lead workshops in Brazil, Mexico and China. Lee holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration on Information Systems and a minor in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Lee is fluent in three languages, English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
