Kelly Kerner joined the University of Georgia as its vice president for development and alumni relations in 2014. He is responsible for leading all aspects of UGA’s advancement program and serves as executive director of the UGA Foundation.
Under Kerner’s leadership, UGA is on its way to surpassing its $1.2 billion goal for its largest fundraising campaign in history. Giving totals are steadily increasing, exceeding $200 million in each of the past two fiscal years. He also renewed emphasis on UGA’s corporate relations office, which now plays an integral role in the university’s fundraising success.
Kerner has 25+ years in higher education development and previously served as senior vice president for development and alumni relations and secretary of the college at Bowdoin College, vice president for college advancement at Bates College, and in various roles at Middlebury College. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
